Back Stage: Jamie Reed

Team FigureRX star Jamie Reed (Kovac) just may be a super hero, because she is able to balance numerous commitments in her life and at the same time excel at everything she does. She works as a full time structural engineer in Manhattan, with a 1-1/2 hour commute to work each way. She's a natural athlete who maintains an active lifestyle on weekends, including recreational sports like skiing, ice hockey and tennis. In fact, three days after competing in figure at Junior Nationals, she ran a 3.5 mile race! Jamie's background includes two Ivy League degrees with a sky high GPA, and college championships in softball and the pole vault.

Jamie comes in for figure shows in incredible shape, with a combination of muscle fullness and conditioning that can be matched by very few competitors. In 2007 she competed in her best shape ever, and was rewarded with a 4th place finish at the NPC National Figure Championships and a 3rd place spot at the NPC USA Figure Championships, both in the tall class. She is nationally known as one of the select few American Gladiators, appearing on NBC in prime time as "Fury." And on top of all that, Jamie has a very outgoing personality and a great sense of humor, and is a favorite of photographers.
