IFBB and NPC Female Athlete Rankings
Top Ten
IFBB Pro Figure Professionals
Released July 15th, 2008 |

Gina Aliotti |
This year's Arnold champion is the epitome of physique perfection in the pro ranks, and there's no reason to think that
she'll have trouble transitioning this fall to the modified judging criteria. The stunning full page stage photo in the July
Ironman is coupled with an excellent glute training article in the latest M&F Hers. This popular mega-star will be only
24 years old on July 20th.

Jenny Lynn |
There's always much respect for the reigning Ms. Figure Olympia even though she has been on stage only
once in the past 18 months. She gains some support this time because it's clear that her look will be in favor this year.
|
| 3 |
Jennifer Gates |
The two Jenns continue to alternate places, with Jenn Gates in 2nd last time based on her M&F Hers cover. There won't likely be
much movement until the Olympia, although every Eight Ball booth sighting confirms that this athlete is rested, ready
and will be a force to be reckoned with in Vegas.

| 4 |
Felicia Romero |
This real estate agent doesn't need to worry about the burst of the housing bubble when things are going this well. Last year's
Olympia is a distant memory for the almost flawless Felicia, who has proven that she can move seamlessly from cover model to the stage.
Her two recent overall wins at the Cal Pro and in Houston make her the fastest riser this month.
|
| 5 |
Nicole Wilkins |
This 24-year old fresh faced midwestern superstar seems to be everywhere these days, with our favorite article being "Core of Duty" in
M&F Hers. Beautiful. Smart. Knows her Britney and is a fan of popular culture. *Double* qualifications for the Olympia in figure and
fitness. Do you need to know any more?
|
| 6 |
Amy Fry |
Our favorite tall blonde athlete is gunning for the Olympia and it's going to be a log jam at the top. Amy is hurt a little bit by her media score,
and we can't believe she's not on every magazine cover at least once this year. So if you're a print mag editor you should be calling and begging this stunner to do a cover shoot.
Afterwards she might not be returning calls. Don't say we didn't warn you.

Paola Almerico |
You know you're good when you don't have plans to compete, and then you decide to step on stage and place top five at a competitive
show! Paola not only did that this month, but she also guided several NPC competitors to either pro cards or impressive placings. She is a verified training
and contest prep genius. Hire her now. Oh yeah, there's also that undeniable beauty and perfectly shaped physique. Watch out Olympia!

Teresa Anthony |
We've never seen an athlete get so many votes *before* her pro debut, but now that she's appeared on the best cover of the year so far
(June 2008 SMP) and is qualified for the Olympia, where do you go from here? How about perfectly sweeping lines, crazy long muscle bellies with size to
match, beauty and brains, and hands down one of the best upper bodies in the history of pro figure.
|
| 9 |
Kristal Richardson |
She's one of most underrated athletes in the country, but if you have been reading this month's magazines you'll see why she has logged one of the top media
scores in this survey's history. This Bodywell-sponsored competitor is the August Ironman Hardbody and we love her article on back posture in this month's Oxygen.
Kristal wears muscle well and has gorgeous skin tone, and she's no slouch on stage either, with a 10th place at the Arnold and two top five pro show finishes last year.
|
| 10 |
Mary Elizabeth Lado |
A lat training article in the August M&F put this Louisiana beauty back in the forefront and
reminded everyone that her comeback begins at the Jacksonville Pro. Recent reports have her
looking better than ever so expect this former Arnold champion to make a rapid climb from here.
|
|
Fastest Risers |
Felicia Romero, Kristal Richardson, Mary Elizabeth Lado, Heather Mae French, Jessica Paxson-Putnam. Heather is on her way to the top
ten and the Olympia with three impressive placings in a row, while Jessica is back on everyone's minds as she too prepares for Jacksonville. Julie Kulla received significant votes after the pro-ready look
she presented at 2008 Junior Nationals. Will she be this year's Jennifer Gates?
|
|
Slipping |
Hazal Nelson, Valerie Waugaman. Is Valerie's retirement for real? There were high hopes for Hazal who has an
ideal physique for the new softer criteria - but she has been coming in *too* soft. Sonia Adcock and Darlina Brown depart from the top
ten this month, but they'll be back.
|
|
Athletes Receiving Top Ten Votes: Jelena Abbou, Sonia Adcock, Catherine Anderson, Huong Arcinas, Natalie Benson,
Monica Brant, Darlina Brown, Kristine Chin, MaryJo Cooke, Michelle Flake, Heather Mae French, Heather Green, Lenay Hernandez, Julie Kulla, Shannon Meteraud,
Jessica Paxson-Putnam, Desha Rodriguez, Amanda Savell, Chastity Slone, Kristi Tauti, Amy Thompson-Stephens, Waleska Valle, Valerie Waugaman, Latisha Wilder.
IFBB Pro Ranking Methodology .....
FigureRX uses a voter ranking system very similar to that used in the NCAA college football Associated Press and Coaches Polls. All voters are
provided with information concerning competition placings and media exposure. They are free to make their own determinations regarding all other categories.
The votes are compiled using a weighted average. The rankings are revealed, but not the total scores.
